Exam stress, Crying and Piles of Revision
So as you might have noticed I have been gone for a little while I hope you have been doing okay whilst I was busy taking my exams and to be entirely honest the title of this blog really reflects my mood about this season. For those of you who haven't been through GCSEs they are way more stressful then the end of year exams as you are always thinking about the grades you need. Another difference is the amount of revision that you say you are going to do. (But really you should do revision) At the time of writing this I have finished my exams and school. It is so satisfying to sit at the end of my last exam and know that all of this stress is over.
This group of year 11's have been named the least motivated year but too be honest I feel like all that all of us were thinking during the exams is how the questions would be turned into memes. The accounts this year for memes were always a pick up after exams and made us laugh when most of us felt like breaking down in bursts of tears and exhaustion. It sounds silly but although we may be the 'least motivated' year we were definitely the most tightknit group especially in my school because we were so supportive of each other for the whole time... okay this is starting to sound sappy.
Now to talk about a topic which is relatable to any of the year 11's or I guess just anyone taking exams in general;the invigilators. There are many different types and they all seem to be individual in there own special way. You have the big boss well they think they are the boss. They are normally the ones who read all the instructions at the beginning of the exam, personally for our exams we had one who read these instructions so slowly so it took what felt like half the length of the exam to get through them all. We also had one which acted like your mum, every so often she would come and pat you on the back making sure you are alright. We had the one which would wear the loudest shoes and it would be so annoying or the one with the bright t-shirts which blinded you every time you looked up at them. So we had a lot of different types of people working during the exams for just a little bit of cash.
I know this was a short blog but there will be a part 2 all about leavers assembly and results, with NCS between these two. The blogs won't be as frequent for a while but I promise once the summer is over and I'm getting used to college that I will try to post more.
Thank you for reading, signing off Millie
